Hi everyone,
As some of you may have noticed Friday and Saturday, we have had some issues with the pool clarity. Many people have been working very hard to fix the situation. The pool closed right after practice on Friday to allow for the pool to be shocked (super chlorinated) and circulated for the day/night and things were fixed in the pump room. This helped a lot and things looked just good enough to have our meet on Saturday. After keeping the pool open for the rest of the day on Saturday, things started looking murky again. Maintenance has been working overtime to get things filtering through and trying to get the pool back on track. I was contacted tonight that we would need to cancel swim team for TOMORROW, MONDAY, JUNE 22. They would like to keep large groups of people out while they give the pool a little more time to get all the water through all the filters. We WILL have swimming lessons tomorrow because there are less people, more lifeguards, and it is only an hour long (and a real big pain to reschedule). We apologize for this inconvenience. They will be meeting at 1:30pm tomorrow afternoon to re-evaluate where we are at and I will send out an update. There are some who filled out registration without either a cell or email or both, so please let your friends know about the cancellation. If you would still like to be on my text alerts and either didn't get an invite or I didn't have your cell, please email me your cell number and I will get you on it. We will have ribbons at practice on Tuesday (cross your fingers that we will be good to be in the water). Thank you for all your support.
