We are into swim team full swing now, and I hope you are enjoying seeing the progress your swimmers are making.
A couple things:
1) All goggles and t-shirts are in stock. Please come see me if you need to pick yours up.
2) If you didn't order a suit or shirt and want one, we have some in stock, we'd love for the kids and parents to wear them at meets.
3) Ribbons from the meet on Saturday have been passed out. If your swimmer didn't pick theirs up, have them come talk to me. All swimmers get at least a participation ribbon if they didn't place in an event. Please be aware that we did have up to 24 kids in some events, and we ribbon up to 10th, so they may have swam in an event that they didn't place in. I did notice while going through cards that there were some 5th and 6th places that ribbons didn't get made for, so I will get those done and passed out to those kids asap.
Swim Meet this Saturday:
The meet this week is at Lindon.
Please note they changed the time. So warm-ups will now be at 7am and the meet will start at 7:30am. They will run this meet on a meet manager (computer system), which means I need to have all entries to them by Thursday at noon and I cannot adjust much after that time. Please sign up with this google form (you'll need to submit it once for each swimmer) asap if you plan to attend. You can also sign up at practice on Wed. or Thursday. Your child will not get cards for this meet. They will come check in with coaches and we will write event numbers on their hand. Swimmers will go to the bullpen with their event number is called and they will be placed in heats and lanes. Lindon does not allow swimmers to dive into the shallow end, so the timers move. It doesn't change anything for the kids, just so you are aware that on 25's they will end in a different spot. For 10 and under relays, it does mean that swimmers on the shallow end have to start from inside the pool. We will help them with this. Don't forget to bring extra towels (early meets are cooler) and shade (for when the sun comes out), lots of snacks and water.
