Wow! It's that time again. Summer is quickly approaching.
Swim Team:
Try-outs are on Monday, June 5rd at the Pool. We will be there from 8:30-11 am.
If your child swam last year they do not need to try out again. Try-outs are for all new swimmers.
Coaches will be watching to make sure your child is comfortable swimming a 25m (the length of the pool) on their stomachs doing a crawl/freestyle stroke.
All swimmers and parents are welcome to come during that time to turn in registration forms, pay fees, try on swim suits, order shirts and swim suits.
June 5- Swim Team Try Outs
June 6- First day of swim team practice
Meet Schedule will be posted after the coaches meeting on May 3.
Practice Times- Monday-Friday
(these are roughly based on age- we will make some adjustments based on ability):
8-9 am- 11-18 year olds
9-9:45- 8-10 year olds
9:45-10:15- 7 and under
Swim Team Prices- $165 members/ $195 non-members (This is the fee for the entire two months of swim team, league fees, swim cap, and awards)
There is a sibling discount available. 5% off the second child. 10% off each additional child.
Swim Clinic:
We've had a lot of people asking about a mini-clinic to help refresh swimming skills before try-outs. Meghan and Christine will be doing this on June 1 and 2. We will take 8 kids per half hour (10, 10:30, 11). The cost is $40 per child, payable to the instructor. Sign up on this link.
Swim Lessons:
Session 1- June 12-22
Session 2- June 26- July 7 (no lessons on July 4, July 7 is the make up day)
Session 3- July 10-July 20
There are two lesson times 10:30-11 or 11-11:30
Sessions run Monday-Thursdays (Fridays are make-up days for weather cancellations)
Prices- $60 members/$75 non-member
You can register in person at the Athletic Club desk, print the registration form on the link on the right, or sign up online (link on the right).
IT IS EASIEST TO PAY BY CHECK or CHARGE A RIVERSIDE ACCOUNT. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD, YOU WILL NEED TO DO SO AT THE ATHLETIC CLUB DESK DOWNSTAIRS.
So do we need to sign up or register somewhere or do we just show up on the 5th and have our child try out? He has done swim team for many years, just not on RCC

DeleteMy son has a BYU soccer camp next week so is there any other time he could try out? He is 8.
