Announcing Swim Team Plans for 2020

Thank you so much for your patience as we have worked to put together a swim team plan for this summer.  We have several regulations that need to be followed in order for this to happen, so it took some time to put together a plan that would work under our current reality.  We understand that there are many personal opinions about how things should or shouldn't be done in relation to Covid-19 safety practices; however, we are obligated to follow county guidelines (as well as club policies) in order for this to happen. We feel good about this plan as our best option:

In order to allow for less people in the pool and deck area, we will have smaller groupings, limited to 5-6 kids per lane.  Rather than age groups, families can sign up together and we will adjust lane assignments based on who signs up for a time slot.  This will eliminate the need for as many people dropping off/picking up during turn-over times.  Practices will be 45 min.  The first 15 min., swimmers will be screened (temp check) and meet on the lawn near the pool gate to do dry land warm-ups with a coach.  This will allow for warm-ups and screening to happen, but maximize the time swimmers are in the water.  Swimmers will enter the north gates by the diving boards with a coach.  As a group is finishing up, they need to quickly exit the South Gate (the normal entrance).  We are discouraging use of the locker rooms during this time other than using the restroom.  We cannot have gatherings on deck, so we are asking that parents either drop off/pick up kids or wait in the car during practice.

There will be 7 different options of groups you can sign up for:
Group 1- M/W 7:15-8 am
Group 2- M/W 8-8:45 am
Group 3- M/W 8:45-9:30 am
Group 4- M/W 9:30-10:15 am
Group 5- T/TH 8-8:45 am
Group 6- T/TH 8:45-9:30 am
Group 7- T/TH 9:30-10:15 am

Fridays will be for age group swim inter squad swim meets.  I will announce these . (For example, only 6 and under come one Friday to swim their events and get times.  Another Friday, 7/8 yr. olds will come, etc.).  This will allow us to still race but maintain social distancing.  Times will be entered into a virtual county championship at the end of our season.

There should be enough spots for those who are interested, however, registration will be done online and open to members first for one week starting on May 25.  On June 1, registration will open up for everyone else.  You will find a registration link on this blog, on the menu on the right.

Season will run June 8-July 29.
Member Price- $130
Non-member Price- $165

We have lowered the prices knowing that we can't offer the full experience.  We cannot offer any refunds or adjusted pricing after the 2nd week of practices.

Gear orders will be done online with registration.  Ordered items will be packaged and passed out to parents during pick up and drop off times the first week.

Again, we really appreciate your patience as we navigate this season.  For your peace of mind, please know that staff will be screened daily and equipment disinfected between each group.

Our coaching staff is eager to work with your swimmers again!  Please let me know if you have any questions.
